OVCA staff

The Office of Vice Chancellor for Advancement (OVCA) is dedicated to growing a culture of engagement and philanthropy among UIC’s students, alumni, faculty and staff as well as local and national corporations, foundations and individuals looking to make a difference in the world by giving to UIC.

From building lifelong relationships with alumni to raising funds for student success, life-changing research, community engagement and recruiting and retaining the best faculty and staff, everything we do advances our mission of providing the broadest access to the highest levels of educational, research and clinical excellence.

Here are some of the ways OVCA accomplishes its mission:

UIC Alumni Association

The UIC Alumni Association engages with alumni and friends through volunteer opportunities, peer networking, mentorship and alumni events to connect their passions with UIC’s mission and support today’s students in their journey.

Individual Giving

OVCA helps donors pay forward the assistance they received at UIC, ensure students’ success, address disparities or leave a legacy of transforming lives with major gifts. We also facilitate annual fund gifts that offer unrestricted support across UIC.

Corporate and Foundation Relations

The Corporate and Foundation Relations team helps corporations support our students with professional opportunities and scholarships while also tapping an excellent pool of new talent for entry-level positions. CFR also helps foundations whose missions align with UIC’s fulfill their goals by giving to the university.

Stewardship and Donor Relations

The Stewardship and Donor Relations team is responsible for honoring all gift intentions and building life-long relationships with donors. They ensure that donors see the impact of their giving through impact reports and sharing stories of the lives transformed by donor generosity to UIC.
