Tom Friedman MFA '93 is the artist behind New Art Sculpture Installed at CTA’s UIC-Halsted Station
Friedman is one of the most distinguished alumnus of UIC School of Art & Architecture having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA) in Sculpture, 1993. The sculpture, known as Takeaway, depicts Hermes, the Messenger of Greek Mythology, in a running pose balancing a stack of restaurant carry-out boxes on his head is a playful and artistic tribute to modern living.
