"WELL GUYS, I'M STILL HERE AND AM ABOVE GROUND. 55 YEARS AGO I WAS GIVEN 3 WEEKS TO LIVE FROM THE CANCER I HAD IN MY SENIOR YEAR OF DENTAL SCHOOL. I WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PEOPLE CURED WITH CHEMOTHERAPY AND WAS THE ONLY ONE OUT OF 30 IN MY GROUP TO SURVIVE. AT 80 I DON'T MOVE AS QUICKLY AS I USED TO AND HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO NOD OFF IN CHURCH BUT AT LEAST I'M STILL HERE. I AM COMPLETELY RETIRED FROM DENTISTRY SINCE 1988 AND RETIRED FROM A SMALL BANK WHERE I TOOK A TEMPORARY JOB FOR 13 YEARS. I AM ENJOYING DOING WHAT I WANT AND WHEN I WANT. MY HOBBIES ARE OIL PAINTING, ORCHID GROWING (KILLING), BUILDING SCALE MODELS, AND FLYING MY ANTIQUE AIRPLANE. I'VE HAD A GOOD RUN AND WILL KEEP GOING AS LONG AS I CAN TO PRESERVE MY ONCOLOGIST'S EXPERIMENT."
