Communities vs. Industrial Polluters: The Power of Health Data

Many communities are exposed—without realizing it—to toxic emissions from rail yards, asphalt plants, polluted lands and other industries. Michael Cailas, PhD, a School of Public Health associate professor of environmental and occupational health sciences, will join community partners to share data on health impacts of industry emissions near Chicago neighborhoods, and how community groups can rely on health data to voice their concerns and influence future damage.
