University of Illinois Chicago alumnus and author Anthony M D’Agostino, MD (https://www.anthonydagostinomd.com/author/) credits his rewarding 40+ year long career in psychiatry to his experience as a student at UIC. During his time at university, he received his medical degree and completed his residency in General and Child Psychiatry. Working to help the state of Illinois, he went on to be President of the Illinois Psychiatric Society in 1986-87 and served on the Health Insurance and Ethics committees for much of 2 decades. At the national level, he was an Illinois delegate on the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association from 1996 to 2002.
