Past Celebrations

Golden Graduates don golden regalia for the December Commencement Ceremony

In December 2024, UIC continued its tradition of honoring Golden Graduates, alumni celebrating 50 years since graduating. The Class of 1974 were invited back to campus to participate in the December Commencement ceremony and celebrate together at the Golden Graduates reception. The Class of 1974 was honored through a celebratory breakfast featuring a welcome address from UIC’s Chancellor, Marie Lynn Miranda, and each graduate received a Golden Medallion to commemorate this significant milestone.
