About
William Bole is vice chancellor for advancement at the University of Illinois Chicago and senior vice president of the University of Illinois Foundation. A seasoned advancement leader with more than 25 years of experience in higher education and academic medicine, he oversees fundraising, alumni relations and institutional partnerships in support of UIC’s mission and strategic priorities. Previously, he served as chief advancement officer for Wharton External Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania, where he led strong fundraising growth. He also held senior advancement roles at Lehigh University and Penn Medicine and is known for mission-driven, donor-centered leadership.
