Singer, songwriter, choreographer, and actress, Carol Hatchett '90, was recently awarded a certificate in recognition of participation as background vocalist on the Grammy Award-Winning Recording "We Are" by Jon Batiste (Album of the Year, 64th Grammy Awards, Year 2021). Carol received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Theatre from UIC's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Ms. Hatchett currently resides in Los Angeles, CA since moving from her native Chicago, IL. Carol was one of the infamous "Harlettes", Bette Midler's backup singers/dancers, touring across the country and appearing in Bette's Emmy Award winning "Diva Las Vegas" HBO special. She has been featured in the films "Ali", "Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde: Red, White and Blonde."
