Alejandro Perez-Tamayo, MD ’81
Alumna Alejandro Perez-Tamayo, MD, is a board-certified surgeon at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology. During 30 years of practice, she has operated on a wide spectrum of breast conditions and performed general surgical procedures, such as hernia repairs and laparoscopy. The recipient of numerous teaching awards, Perez-Tamayo focuses on providing breast cancer care to minorities.
