- Alumni who you want to steward for future engagement opportunities
-
Criteria
- Dean’s office
- Engaged faculty
- Advancement and alumni engagement staff
- Alumni boards/committees
-
Criteria
- Start by reading the award criteria carefully to ensure your nominee is eligible for the award
- Collect pertinent information on the nominee
- Answer the questions in the nomination form clearly and specifically. Include detailed examples that depict the points you are making.
- The strongest nominations include both a comprehensive application and supplementary documentation. A detailed resume/CV, articles outlining the nominee’s achievements, etc. are suggested.
- The strongest nominations also include multiple letters of recommendation. The letters should not simply restate what is in the application. They should include personal observations, anecdotes, etc. by the writer. Make sure to give the writer plenty of notice and follow up periodically until the letter arrives.
