William J. Hass, BS ’69

UIC Engineering alumnus William "Bill" J. Hass, 71, of Northbrook, died naturally on January 7 doing what he loved best; skiing on the Rocky Mountains. Bill was a founding member of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Engineering Alumni Association (EAA). He was an experienced problem solver, value builder, facilitator, Board director, entrepreneur, author, speaker and thought leader. He invented the BoneFone, the first ears-free personal listening device, which he developed to safely enjoy music plus the sensations of the outdoors experience while skiing. Read full obituary
